Review by hotel critic
My recent getaway to Foresteria Valdese Di Firenze was a delightful immersion into Florentine authenticity. Located near Santo Spirito, known for its non-touristy charm, the hotel offers a genuine Florentine experience. The property, although basic, boasts clean, comfortable rooms and a commendable focus on social service programs, which resonated with my inherent appreciation for giving back. Exploring the surroundings led me to discover the quaint Trattoria da Ginone, a mere stone's throw away. The proximity of the vibrant L'Arte di Dori and the diverse offerings of Tandoori Cucina Mediterranea provided a tapestry of dining experiences within reach. The hotel's breakfast offerings were a highlight, setting the tone for the day ahead. The hot and cold drink dispensers were a convenient touch, ensuring a refreshing start to my mornings. This culinary experience, coupled with the hotel's strategic location, made for a memorable stay that I would recommend to fellow travelers seeking a blend of simplicity and authenticity in the heart of Florence.
